The Laredo Hawks went down to defeat to Don Lucas and his Washington teammates. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Generals. Lung Zhou sewed up the save, his 12th. With the win, Washington pushed its record to 51-40.

Washington relied on the bat of Alonso Mendos to get the win. The third baseman ripped a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Generals ahead, 2-0. For the game, Mendos had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Lucas told the Washington Chronicle.
