Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Delmarva Gallos and the Eugene Vandals. Delmarva won it, 3-1. Delmarva starter Burian Polyn was in command. Paul Shannon picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Ramelan Mollema was tagged with the loss. The Gallos have an impressive 49-31 record.
Delmarva took a 3-1 lead on Alfred Espinosa's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Espinosa hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Eugene pitcher Ramelan Mollema visibly frustrated.
"Burian -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Gallos manager Jorge Carranza. "He was the key to us winning."
