Yinzers Sneak Past Blue Dragons, 2-1
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Chris French, falling 2-1 to the Monroeville Yinzers at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. The Yinzers now have a record of 12-25.
Monroeville won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Yu-eh Wang on the mound for Levittown, first baseman Freddie Cupp hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Yinzers fans to their feet.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Cupp said in his postgame press conference.
