The Nova Scotia Leviathan topped the Baltimore Bullets, 9-3, with designated hitter Ricardo Águila playing a big role. Águila was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Leviathan in the win. The Bullets, now 4-11, continue their poor start.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Leviathan had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the top of the fifth, when second baseman Juan Neváres hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jesús Cruz and made the score 4-3, Leviathan. Neváres was 1-5.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Águila.
