Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Vandals
The Eugene Vandals relied on the hitting of designated hitter John Harper to stop the Delmarva Gallos, 6-4. For the game, Harper was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. At 39-40, Eugene is in 6th place in the Silver A.

Eugene used the clutch hitting of James Christensen to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vandals ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Harper told the Eugene Gazette.
