Vandals Earn 2-1 Win Versus Generals
|
The Eugene Vandals got a magnificent effort from pitcher Maurice Palmer, who kept Washington hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Vandals win at The Riot Zone. Pedro Pérez got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The loss makes Washington 40-37.
Jorge Villarreal aided the Eugene cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"We found a way to get it done," Villarreal said.
