2-1 Blue Dragons Win over Vibes Evens Season Record
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons did just enough to secure a victory over the Rocky Mountain Vibes, 2-1, at Bellevue Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris French. French picked up the win for Levittown, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-4. The win gives Levittown a season record of 16-16.
The Vibes had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Blue Dragons going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old catcher Wyatt Shepherd came to the plate. Shepherd hit a solo home run on a first pitch curveball from Rocky Mountain hurler Bryan Lee. It was Shepherd's 2nd home run of the year.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Rocky Mountain manager Eduardo López, "let me know."
