Shredders Edge Dirty Reds, 2-1
|
Eric Colquhoun never let San Mateo get something going. The Hollywood right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Shredders to a 2-1 win. The save went to Lloyd Natoff, number 4 for him. With the loss, San Mateo falls to 10-4.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rubén Nuañez? The Hollywood left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Shredders on top, 2-0. For the game, Nuañez had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Colquhoun.
