Hernández Leads Hawks to Win
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Ricardo Hernández, the Laredo Hawks defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 15-5. Hernández went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Hawks. Laredo now sits in first place in the Silver A at 45-29.

With Laredo leading 6-1 in the top of the fifth, Hernández hit a grand slam home run off Idaho Falls hurler Leonard Harmon. It was the 22nd home run of the season for Hernández and put his team ahead, 10-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hernández told the Laredo Daily News.
