Jets Stick Tula with 5-1 Loss
|
The Kennesaw Jets went home winners at Jets Stadium, thanks in large part to starter King Nelson. Nelson stifled the Chicago Tula, enabling Kennesaw to grab the 5-1 win. Nelson got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Nelson allowed 1 run. Kennesaw goes to 9-4.
Steve Hodge tagged a home run off Markus Magee in the bottom of the third. His 3-run blast put the Jets on top, 4-1. In all, Hodge had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Kennesaw manager Sherwood Baker.
