Eldridge in Cruise Control in 8-0 Win
|
The Caldwell Chiefs picked up a win at Pipers Ballpark, taking down the Chicago Tula, 8-0. Starting pitcher Nathan Eldridge was a big reason why. After losing, Chicago is 6-3.
Eldridge's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 3 hits. Eldridge, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2041 draft, goes to 2-0 on the year with 16 strikeouts.
"I liked his command," said Caldwell manager Kevin Fields. "Nathan was throwing strikes."
