Tula Need Extra Innings to Top Chiefs, 2-1
|
The Caldwell Chiefs wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Pepe Rose, falling 2-1 to the Chicago Tula at Pipers Ballpark. With the win, Chicago elevates its record to 5-2.
Robert Robinson, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Robinson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Chicago up, 2-1.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Robinson.
