Delmarva Gallos starter Gene Greene hurled his team past the Washington Generals, 6-1. Greene got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Greene allowed 1 run. Delmarva raised its record to 32-21 with the win.
Alfred Espinosa had a big 2-run double for the Gallos in the bottom of the second inning. With Delmarva leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Richard Nudelman and swatted a double to right. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gallos ahead, 3-0.
