Roberto Gómez left his imprint on the 4-2 Put-In-Bay win against the Huntington Hermit Crabs. Gómez, who is tied for 6th in the SA with a .293 batting average, was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Hai-liang Che recorded his 9th save for Put-In-Bay. The Commodores go to 14-23 with the win.
Gómez had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Commodores went on to win.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Put-In-Bay manager Rick Bell. "It's usually not just one thing."
