Bulls Top Hawks, 4-3
|
The Belleville Bulls took Laredo pitcher George Butler's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Belleville Field. The final score had Belleville getting past the Hawks, 4-3. Butler went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. With the win, Belleville goes to 13-19, while the Hawks fall to 16-16.
The clutch hit was provided by Chad Perry. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring double off Dan Watson in the bottom of the 13th.
In comments to the Belleville Bulletin, Perry insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
