Generals Shut Out Vandals, 2-0
|
The Washington Generals got a stellar effort from pitcher Charles Harvey, helping Washington score a win over the visiting Eugene Vandals, 2-0. The win for the Generals raised their record to 16-14.
Washington catcher Anthony Barker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 9th hit of the season and put the Generals ahead, 1-0.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Washington manager Nick Hoskins.
