The Laredo Hawks picked up a win at Hawks Field, taking down the Delmarva Gallos, 4-2. Starting pitcher Hyung-gook Chong was a big reason why. Dan Watson earned the save, his 7th, for the Hawks. Their 14-15 record puts the Hawks 7th in the Silver A.

The Hawks got a big at-bat from right fielder George McLean. For the game, McLean went 1-2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Laredo a 3-2 lead.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Chong told the Laredo Daily News.
