The Washington Generals and Eugene Vandals provided some drama for the home crowd.

Eugene Vandals starter Omar Fabila was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Washington Generals, 4-3. Reliever Dan Taylor picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Luis González took the loss.

Eugene relied on the bat of António Sierra to get the win. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Vandals ahead, 4-3. For the game, Sierra had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Sierra after the game.

The Generals, now 15-13, have lost 5 straight.
