A 5-RBI performance from the 21-year old center fielder Ronald Dacanay helped the Laredo Hawks beat the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 8-4. The win was credited to Michael Donovan in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Brad Hehir took the loss. Laredo is now 9-11, Huntington 11-9.

Dacanay contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Laredo in the top of the third. With his team trailing 3-0, Dacanay took a fastball from Brad Hehir and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Hawks to leap in front, 4-3.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Dacanay told the Laredo Daily News.
