The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Westwood Sixshooters, 10-0, at Sixshooters Stadium today. Leading the charge for Mercer Island was first baseman Manny Opio. He was 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The first-place Screaming Eagles have won 10 straight games.
Roldão Cintra had a big hit for Mercer Island in the top of the third inning. With Mercer Island leading 3-0, Cintra hit a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Screaming Eagles up, 5-0.
