Eclipse Earn 3-2 Win Versus Sixshooters
|
The Westwood Sixshooters got a sterling performance from pitcher Finley Brinley, but the Northville Eclipse still prevailed, 3-2. Brinley threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Northville pitcher Albert Crawford got the win. He's now 4-0. Liu-liang Liu was tagged with the loss. With the win, Northville raised its record to 61-36.
Northville used the timely hitting of John Kersey to capture the win. The right fielder socked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It feels good to get this one," Kersey told the Northville Observer.
