Singh Slugs Thunder to 5-3 Win
Behind a fine performance from Soshal Distan Singh, the St. Petersburg Thunder knocked off the Bethesda Atoms, 5-3. Singh slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Thunder. Steve Walden was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. The win puts St. Petersburg at 35-55.

Singh had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 slider from Eric O'Slattery, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Thunder a 5-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Singh.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Singh.
