Hughes Hits 2 home runs in Thunder Hawks Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks beat the Northville Eclipse, 8-6, at Old-Timers Park. The Thunder Hawks got a fine performance from designated hitter Virgil Hughes, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ricardo Rodríguez picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 4-5. Earning his 5th save for Ft. Polk South was Alan Haas.

Ft. Polk South used a clutch hit from Andrés Indiano to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 8-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.
