The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks beat the Northville Eclipse, 7-3, at Old-Timers Park. Tony Mendoza, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The 4th-place Thunder Hawks have won 5 in a row.

It could have been a different outcome for Ft. Polk South, had it not been for Andrew Sprinkle, the 25-year old third baseman . Sprinkle contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Ft. Polk South up, 1-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sprinkle told the Ft. Polk South Citizen.
