The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks faced a tough opponent in Nuevo Mexico pitcher Peter Bradley, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Mariachi Band Shell by a final score of 4-2. Bradley went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The Thunder Hawks, at 46-35, have now won 4 straight.
In the top of the eighth inning, Diego Moreno contributed a big hit for the Thunder Hawks. With Ft. Polk South trailing 2-1, he hammered a solo home run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Ft. Polk South skipper John Anderson.
