Thunder Hawks Rally For 5-3 Win
St. Petersburg got a terrific game from third baseman Jim Rigsby. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Ft. Polk South, 5-3. Rigsby went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Roberto Córdova notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 4.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-0. Wilson Tamayo earned the save for Ft. Polk South, his 5th.

Ft. Polk South used the clutch hitting of Dermott Mann to snag the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

Mann described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.

The Thunder Hawks' win now puts them at 33-26.
