Screaming Eagles Reel Off Another Win
St. Petersburg center fielder Tony Hernández had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hernández was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3, even as Mercer Island beat the Thunder, 4-3. St. Petersburg's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Mercer Island used a well-timed hit by Nebosja Peric to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Mercer Island manager Jesús Román.
