|
St. Petersburg second baseman Soshal Distan Singh picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 4-3. The Thunder sit in 8th place in the Premier AA with a record of 15-19.
Singh had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Chris McGee, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Thunder a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th double of the year for Singh.
In postgame comments to the St. Petersburg Today, Singh said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
