Northville Beats Westwood, 2-0
|
Northville and Westwood duked it out and the Eclipse came out victorious.
In a low-scoring game between the Northville Eclipse and the Westwood Sixshooters, pitcher Juriaan van der Kieft was masterful on the mound. The Northville left-hander spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. The save went to John Ralston, number 6 for him.
Tangaloa Manaolana, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Manaolana contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Northville up, 1-0.
"We did just enough to win," van der Kieft said.
Northville now has a record of 16-12 with the win.
