Eclipse Earn 5-4 Win Versus Pierogis
|
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis and Northville Eclipse provided some drama for the home crowd.
Northville Eclipse starter Tony Figueroa was in fine form against the Squirrel Hill Pierogis at Old-Timers Park, leading his team to a win, 5-4. The 4th-place Eclipse have won 9 consecutive games.
Had Kuan Pi not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Pi hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Eclipse.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Figueroa told the Northville Observer.
