José García impressed in the 8-6 Ft. Polk South win over Nuevo Mexico. García, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in runs scored with 16, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Carlson Foolscrow picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 1-2. Getting the save was Ken Travis, his 1st.

García made an early impact for Ft. Polk South when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Thunder Hawks on top, 3-0.
