Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the St. Petersburg Thunder and the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. St. Petersburg won it, 3-0. St. Petersburg starter Iban Wilson was in command. The victory makes St. Petersburg 2-4.

The Thunder Hawks had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Thunder going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old third baseman Paul Hall came to the plate. Hall hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 fastball from Ft. Polk South hurler Ricardo Rodríguez. It was Hall's 2nd double of the year.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Hall.
