5 Straight Wins for Screaming Eagles
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles wiggled past the Westwood Sixshooters, 10-9, at Mercer Island Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Mercer Island right fielder Tim Wright. Mercer Island reliever Keith Lynskey picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rafael Pérez shouldered the loss. The loss drops the Sixshooters to 0-5.

The Screaming Eagles procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Adhane Nduria. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Mercer Island manager Jesús Román.
