Beau Grant never let the Pilgrims get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Pierogis to a win, 6-1. With the loss, Providence is 2-3.

Squirrel Hill used the clutch hitting of Dave Hall to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pierogis ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Beau is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Squirrel Hill manager Roy Clay.
