García Excels in 8-3 Ft. Polk South Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks knocked off the St. Petersburg Thunder, 8-3, at Baby Thunder Dome. José García was a big reason Ft. Polk South won. The second baseman went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Wynn Kelley picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 1. On the season, he is now 1-0. The Thunder Hawks, now 4-0, have stormed out of the gates.

Ft. Polk South grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when García hit a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season put the Thunder Hawks out in front, 2-0.
