The Ogres got an important contribution from right fielder John Harper, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-2 changeup into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Ogres ahead, 3-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Olympia manager Steve Ward. "Our pregame was pretty good."
