Nationals Pull Off Thrilling 9-8 Win in Extras
Led by Charlie Moore, the Ottawa Nationals defeated the Asheville Highlanders, 9-8. Moore was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Nationals. After today's action, Ottawa sits at 32-47; Asheville slips to 40-39.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Ottawa third baseman Ed Dimock, facing Ryan Long, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Nationals the 9-8 win.

"Enjoyed this one," Dimock told the Ottawa Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
