8-6 Loss Extends Gulf Coast Skid
|
No one was more impactful than Michael Warner in the 8-6 Chesapeake win over Gulf Coast. Warner, who is tied for 8th in the SAA in home runs with 12, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner was Chesapeake reliever Anil Seshu, now 2-0. The loser was Richard Surgener. Carroll Kelly recorded his 4th save for Chesapeake.
In the top of the seventh, Warner put his team in front with his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Richard Surgener, made it 7-6, Chesapeake.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chesapeake manager Culley Adjeng.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for Gulf Coast.
