Fur Traders Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rails
The Tacoma Fur Traders overcame a fine performance by Richland right fielder Rafael Rea to defeat the Rails, 7-6, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Rea went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Pedro Garza, 3-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The 7th-place Fur Traders now have a win-loss record of 28-36.

Tacoma won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Eldon Williams on the mound for Richland, first baseman Dennis Moore hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Fur Traders fans to their feet.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Moore said.
