MacMurdo Hits 2 home runs in Guinea Pigs Win
|
The timely hitting of Charles MacMurdo helped the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs down the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 3-0. MacMurdo hit 2 home runs for the Guinea Pigs. Gwinnett pitcher Dario Zorander got the win. He's now 3-0. Kevin Hamm was tagged with the loss. Francisco Díaz converted his 3rd save in 4 tries.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when MacMurdo hit a solo home run. It propelled the Guinea Pigs into the lead, 1-0.
"Charles is still learning," said Guinea Pigs manager Tabor de Maria. "The sky's the limit for him."
Gwinnett raised its record to 38-24 with the win.
