Cangrejos Fantasmas Take Down Highlanders, 5-4
The performance of Jesús Vargas proved critical in helping Chesapeake beat Asheville, 5-4. The Cangrejos Fantasmas catcher went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Otto Mathews came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. After today's action, Chesapeake sits at 19-18; Asheville slips to 22-15.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Vargas delivered big-time for Chesapeake, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Kamiel Wabeke. The game-changing hit put the Cangrejos Fantasmas on top, 5-4.
