Fans watched the Richland Rails and the Olympia Ogres fight to the finish.
The Richland Rails did just enough to secure a victory over the Olympia Ogres, 2-1, at Rails Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Ashley Blamey. The winner in relief was Dani Escovado. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0.
The Rails procured the win, in large part because of left fielder Tony Moore. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Dave Orchard, the Richland skipper. "This one tested us."
Richland is 5th in the Silver AA with a record of 16-15.
