The Richland Rails beat the Asheville Highlanders, 5-4, at Asheville Park. The Rails got a fine performance from center fielder Matt Fuller, who was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The triumph puts Richland at 15-15 for the season.

In the top of the third of a scoreless game, Fuller hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"I was a little disappointed," said Asheville manager William Franklin. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
