Highlanders Overcome Gem from Campbell, Pull Out Win
Asheville Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Asheville Highlanders and Olympia Ogres.

The Asheville Highlanders faced a tough opponent in Olympia pitcher Arsen Campbell, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Asheville Park by a final score of 11-10. Campbell went 0 innings and allowed no runs. Asheville reliever Micheal Smith was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Jude Twitchen took the loss.

Robbie Clark took Jude Twitchen deep in the bottom of the eighth. His grand slam home run put the Highlanders on top, 11-7. In all, Clark had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager William Franklin said.

Asheville now has a 3-game win streak.
