The Gulf Coast Turbeaus had to overcome a fine performance from Virginia Beach pitcher Norm Wells to grab a 3-2 win at Virginia Beach Grounds. Wells allowed 1 run over 6.2 innings. Luis Valdés finished to wrap up his 7th save. Virginia Beach has now lost 4 consecutive games.

Gulf Coast used a timely hit from Ai-de Lau to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Turbeaus ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
