Highlanders Sneak Past Nationals, 9-8
A 4-RBI performance from Wendell Palmer, who is tied for 2nd in the SAA with a .400 batting average, helped the Asheville Highlanders beat the Ottawa Nationals, 9-8. Asheville reliever Matt Buck picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Ramos absorbed the loss. At 12-9, the Highlanders claim 4th place in the Silver AA.

The result might have been different for Asheville, had it not been for Oliver Buss. The shortstop produced a run-scoring single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 7-6. For the game, Buss had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"What a game," said Buss. "We needed every last run."
