Richland and Virginia Beach duked it out and the Rails came out victorious.

The Richland Rails got a stellar performance from pitcher Dylan Mugglestone, who handcuffed the Virginia Beach offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Mugglestone, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks.

It could have been a different outcome for Richland, had it not been for Nelson Moore, the 23-year old third baseman . Moore contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Richland up, 4-0.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Moore. "I just want to win ballgames."

The defeat makes Virginia Beach 12-7.
