Ogres Deal Guinea Pigs 5-3 Setback
|
The Olympia Ogres withstood an impressive performance by Gwinnett right fielder Ryan Dodson to defeat the Guinea Pigs, 5-3, at The Ogre Den. Dodson went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Ogres, now 5-11, have not found much traction so far in 2045.
In the bottom of the sixth, Olympia right fielder Gyoo-jae Kil put his team on top. With two out and the bases loaded, he hit his 4th double of the year. Gwinnett pitcher Korbin Dallas served it up. Just like that, the Ogres were ahead, 5-3.
"I like winning," Kil told the Olympia Herald. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
