5-for-5 Game for Soliman
|
In a career performance, Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas catcher Nestor Soliman sparkled with the bat today at Experimental Stadium.
Powering his way to a 5-for-5 line at the plate, Soliman led the Cangrejos Fantasmas to a 4-2 win over the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs. Soliman was in high spirits in the clubhouse after the game, joking with reporters that the big game had left him "winded."
"Oh sure, 5 hits sounds great but think about how much more baserunning you have to do," he said with a smile. "Next time, I'm just going to take 5 walks."
Nestor Soliman hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Soliman is presently hitting at a .460 pace with no home runs, 9 RBIs and has scored 3 times.
