The Norfolk Pajaritos had to overcome a fine effort from Kansas pitcher Alfredo Rincón to grab a narrow 7-6 win at Wichita Field. Rincón went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The second-place Pajaritos have won 7 in a row.

Norfolk used the clutch hitting of Félix Linaza to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Pajaritos the lead, 7-5. For the game, Linaza had 1 single and 1 double in 2 at-bats.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Linaza told the Norfolk Herald.
